Coping with shower after shower...

Georg and Moneen
Rinnai Infinity 26 - Natural Gas

An endless stream of houseguests was enough to convince Georg and Moneen that their new home needed an endless flow of hot water!

"Because Moneen and I are both from overseas we have a lot of visitors to stay. We love it, but there were too many cold showers," laughs Georg.

Georg found out about the Rinnai Infinity system from a friend with two teenage daughters who put heavy demands on the family's hot water supply.  "He was telling me how pleased he was that he had put in a Rinnai Infinity 26 because both his daughters practically lived in the shower! I had no idea what he was talking about. I thought all hot water came from cylinders. He explained how the Rinnai Infinity was this neat little box on the outside of your house that heated water as you needed it and the hot water never ran out.  I wanted it!"

Shortly after, Georg and his wife relocated a 1930s bungalow onto their new site.  "It was a major renovation. We completely stripped it and redid it. My wife, Moneen, is a draftsperson, so she reconfigured the rooms to suit us. Making the decision to use the Rinnai Infinity meant that we saved space by doing away with the hot water cupboard. That helped us gain enough space to make an extra room possible."

At first the Rinnai Infinity was served by bottled LPG. When the new subdivision was reticulated with natural gas, they switched over to that.

"We were the first home in the development," says Georg. "Now there are 14 new houses here - and all of them have installed Rinnai Infinity systems! I guess there's a lot to be said for 'word of mouth'. It's become a kind of neighbourhood joke - we've nick-named it "Rinnai City!"

"It's a very efficient system, but of course the real beauty of it is that you can run really deep baths and stay in for longer soaks (as Moneen seems to have discovered!) and you can stay under the shower for ages without someone yelling at you that you?re using all the hot water!"
