Rinnai Solar Boost

In the New Zealand climate a solar system will need some form of boost to ensure you have enough hot water throughout winter and the less sunny days of summer to meet all your needs.

Rinnai Solar Systems can use one of two forms of system boosting; Electric and Infinity solar gas powered boosts.

Infinity Solar (Gas) Boost

Solar Flow Diagram

An Infinity solar gas boost system is the most energy efficient boosting solution. This system maximizes solar gain, as it only functions, and consumes energy, when extra hot water is needed. The rest of the time the unit lies dormant.

It is also the only boost that ensures you will never run out of hot water – no matter what your demand, nor does it require that you adjust your lifestyle to suit your hot water system – i.e. you can shower any time of the day or night.

And its a better environmental option, than an electric boost. By using gas a direct energy source can generate up to 50% less greenhouse gases.

Electric Boost

An electric boost is a simple, no fuss boosting option. It works much like an electric cylinder. An electrical element in the tank reacts to a drop in temperature and switches on to heat the water. By also connecting the boost to a timer ensures you maximize the solar energy gain achievable with this system.

All Rinnai Solar tanks come complete with a built-in electric boost.
